Director of Skating Ashley Carlson

Ashley Carlson will begin her eighth season ('18-'19) at Adrian College as Director of Skating.  She will return as head coach for synchronized skating (Senior, Collegiate, Open Collegiate) and will also coach the intercollegiate figure skating team in its seventh season.

In 2017-2018, the Bulldogs competed in the Senior, Collegiate, and Open Collegiate Divisions.  All 3 teams had remarkable seasons, with Open Collegiate earning the pewter medal at the 2018 Midwestern Synchronized Skating Championships after an undefeated non-qualifying season, Collegiate earning a silver medal at the US Championships, and Senior representing Team USA for the third consecutive season (finishing 4th at Mozart Cup in Austria and winning a silver medal at Trophy D'Ecosse in Scotland).

Carlson also coached the intercollegiate team (alongside Tricia DeFelice) to its sixth consecutive Midwestern Conference Championship. The team is now undefeated in its last 17 consecutive Midwestern competitions and won its second consecutive bronze medal at the 2018 US Figure Skating Intercollegiate Championships.  The Bulldogs also crowned 6 national champions in 8 events and brought home numerous national medalists.
